Humans are complex, multi-faceted, dynamic, mostly-sentient sacs of chemicals. We have the capacity for language and logic, but those tools only go so far in reflecting our internal realities.

In this blog, I shall explore the gap between my words and the rest of me. I will, likely, focus mainly on sussing out what some words mean to me by teasing through different cases where those words do or do not feel like the right ones to me. I will, likely, bring in resources from critical theory as well as ideas and anchoring frameworks from polyamory, relationship anarchy, kink, feminism, mathematics, and the people around me.

My name is Patrick Stein (they/them). I am a mostly-sentient sac of chemicals who has been practicing ethical non-monogamy since 2014 and introspection since the early 1970s. I am an ace, hopeless romantic with a strong feminist bent. I love to read. I love to learn.
